Oil & Gas Workers Association President Named to Interstate Oil and Gas Compact Commission

Odessa, TX—The Interstate Oil and Gas Compact Commission (IOGCC) has announced that Matt Coday, President of Oil & Gas Workers Association (OGWA) has been appointed to the IOGCC’s Legal and Regulatory Affairs Committee and Public Outreach Committee, according to an August 11 letter.

IOGCC is a multi-state government entity that “offers a highly effective forum for states, industry, Congress and the environmental community to share information and viewpoints to advance our nation's energy future.” As a member of the Legal and Regulatory Affairs Committee, Coday will “review legal and regulatory matters that impact oil and gas regulatory programs”, and as a member of the Public Outreach Committee, will “educate the American public about our domestic oil and natural gas industry and the IOGCC.”

“I am honored and humbled to serve with the members of the IOGCC on behalf of the hard-working men and women in the oil and gas industry”, said Matt Coday. “I am eager to use our seat at the table to advocate for concerns of the workers who form the backbone of our industry. Millions of Americans who work in our industry are often forgotten when costly, unnecessary policies send our jobs out of the USA to foreign countries with far less environmentally conscious standards, propped up with our tax dollars.”

The 2022 IOGCC Annual Conference will be held October 16-18 in Baltimore, MD.

Oil & Gas Workers Association is a grassroots, independent, nonpartisan, 501c6 nonprofit trade association working to secure, grow, and sustain American oil and gas jobs by advocating on behalf of the men and women who work in the industry and educating members, policymakers, and the public.
