OGWA supports President Trump's orders on Jones Act, SPR release

President Trump delivered on his promise to lower gas prices for all Americans. While the United States brings Peace Through Strength to the oppressed people of Iran, oil and gas price spikes here at home are temporary. President Trump keeps working to Make America Affordable Again with his order for a 60-day waiver of the outdated Jones Act and a responsible release of oil from our Strategic Petroleum Reserve.
American Oil and Gas Workers know a happy medium of $75-80/barrel is good for our industry, economy, and national security. Too high creates demand destruction. Too low destroys smaller independent oil and gas producers and causes massive job losses.
April 20, 2020, was a very dark day for our USA oil and gas industry and economy. That was the day the downturn in world oil demand from the COVID pandemic and the Saudi-Russia price war ultimately drove U.S. oil prices into the negative. Americans should remember President Trump helped broker an end to the Saudi-Russia price war and saved as many American jobs as possible.
We trust President Trump will continue to lead for all Americans.
